An electronic device that makes it difficult to swallow food

London: After an injury, paralysis or an accident, patients have difficulty swallowing. Medicines are prescribed for this but now experts have come up with an effective solution. In this process, light electric shocks are inserted into the throat, after which the patient feels better in swallowing food.

This device is more effective than the traditional treatment developed by the British company 'Fijensis'. The device is called Fijinix, which provides relief from chronic and severe swallowing. A string is inserted into the throat through the nose. It is controlled by a touch screen and lightning is generated in the wire, which activates the internal muscles of the throat.

By setting the time on the touch screen and giving electricity for 10 minutes daily, the patient soon begins to feel comfortable eating and drinking. Most patients start to get better in just three days as the nerve impulses from the affected part of the throat travel to the brain. In the brain, it affects the part that controls our eating and swallowing.

The patient then begins to eat comfortably and does not need an esophagus. In this regard, it has been tested in many hospitals affiliated to British universities and a total of 255 patients have been tested. In addition, patients in Germany and Austria who were experiencing severe eating disorders due to five different neurological disorders were also admitted.

Each patient was electrified three times a day for three months for ten minutes and there was a significant reduction in dysphagia. This research has been done by Shaheen Hamidi who is also the Chief Technical Officer in this institute. Shaheen says Fijinix is very easy to use and helps patients eat.
